The Promise of God’s Strength – February 8, 2026

Today, let’s look at a comforting and empowering verse found in Philippians 4:13: “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”

This verse reminds us that no matter how difficult our circumstances might seem, we have access to the strength of God through Jesus Christ. It’s not about being able to do everything on our own power or intelligence but recognizing that God’s power is sufficient for us.

To implement this in our daily lives, we can start each day by acknowledging God’s presence and His strength within us. When faced with a challenge, instead of panicking or feeling overwhelmed, we can take a moment to pray, asking for God’s help and strength to overcome the obstacle. This shift in perspective from relying solely on ourselves to trusting and leaning on God can make all the difference.

For example, consider Corrie ten Boom, a Dutch watchmaker and her family during World War II. They risked their lives to hide Jews from the Nazis. Corrie attributes their ability to endure harsh treatments and continue their efforts to God’s strength. On one occasion, she was beaten severely for her actions, yet she found the energy and courage to continue helping those in need because she knew that God’s strength would sustain her. Her experience teaches us that when we turn to God, His strength becomes our strength.

Remember, the key here is not just knowing this verse but living by its truth every day.
