Title: God Has Good Plans for You

Jeremiah 29:11 in the King James Version reads: “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”

This verse is a beautiful reminder that God is not randomly throwing darts at your life. He has intentional, thoughtful plans for you. The word “expected end” in this context means a hopeful future and a blessed tomorrow. When God looks at you, He doesn’t see confusion or chaos—He sees a path leading to peace, purpose, and prosperity in the deepest sense. This wasn’t just a word for the people of Jeremiah’s time; it was written down for your encouragement today.

Now, how do you live this out when life feels uncertain or overwhelming?

One practical way to implement this verse is to start each morning by speaking it over your day before the day even begins. Before you check your phone or worry about what’s coming, pause and declare: “God has good plans for me today. His thoughts toward me are thoughts of peace.” This simple habit shifts your mindset from anxiety to trust. It trains your heart to look for God’s goodness even in ordinary moments.

Let me share a story with you. There was a woman named Martha who faced a difficult season. She had lost her job, her health was struggling, and she felt lost. One day, a friend reminded her of this verse. Martha decided to write it on a card and place it on her mirror. Every morning, she read it out loud. At first, she felt silly. But over weeks, something changed. She began to see small doors opening—unexpected encouragement from a neighbor, a opportunity that came her way, a peace that settled in her heart despite her circumstances. She realized God was working behind the scenes all along, just as the verse promised.

Friend, whatever you are facing today, hold onto this truth: God’s plans for you are good. They are not of evil. You can trust Him with your tomorrow.
