Today I was sitting and thinking about our lives, we have many temptations, many trials, many troubles we face, some last a few minutes while some seems to last an eternity. Why we do face all these trials? There are many reasons to facing these trials, which we can see when we study the word of God.
Today I was sitting and thinking about our lives. We have many temptations, many trials, many troubles we face, some last a few minutes, while some seems to last an eternity. Why we do face all these trials? There are many reasons to facing these trials, which we can see when we study the word of God.
Romans 5:3 (NIV)
“Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance;
Perseverance, character; and character, hope.
And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.
However we find an interesting hidden reason when we study what happened to the children of Israelites. They faced continuous trials just like us. When they came out into the desert they faced a severe shortage of water, just when they thought they found good water to drink, it was bitter. They faced many problems in their daily lives too. Why? Maybe their answer will partly answer our questions too!
Deuteronomy 8:2 (NIV)
“Remember how the LORD your God led you all the way in the desert these forty years, to humble you and to test you in order to know what was in your heart, whether or not you would keep his commands.”
This word made me realize that whatever the circumstance or trials we may have, God has the power to deliver us and HE WILL DO IT. Just that we must know how to face it in our hearts. The attitude in which we face the trial or problem is only important to God. Also as we face the trial whether we will continue to stand by his side or whether we want to fall off. This was the reasons for the trials that came on Children of Israelites. They of course did not learn and faced continuous problems.
But thanks to our Lord Jesus we have his grace and mercy
So regardless of the problems you face in life, just remember that how we face them inside our hearts and our inward attitude that is what is important to God. He will DELIVER you and bring you out shining at the right time.
