“Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over”
Josh 1:2
Moses was such a powerful man of God, who used to the extent like no other. When God decided to take him away, when he was 120 years Old, he probably had the strength in him to continue another lifetime with ease.
“Moses was a hundred and twenty years old when he died; he was as strong as ever, and his eyesight was still good.”
Deu 34:7 (GNB Version)
We learn that Pharaoh of Egypt sought to kill him when he was born. However, God intervened and he was brought up in Egypt (Spiritually sin). He knew the laws, strengths and weaknesses of Egypt (Spiritually Kingdom of Satan). Eventually he fled Egypt with fear. Subsequently, he was trained for 40 years in the harsh, dry, arid wilderness. He returned to Egypt in triumph and he was used for the redemption of the children of Israel who was under the bondage of Egypt for 400 years (Spiritually Sinful bondages). He did more miracles than any other man, except Christ our Lord. He spoke to God face to face, this privilege was given only to Moses from the men of flesh who lived on earth. He was used by God to chronicle the law of the ten commandments. He was used to lead the children of Israel for 40 years through the desert. He personally anointed 70 Israelite leaders under the direction of God. He wrote majority of the books in the Bible, which gives us an insight into the creation and the wonder of God.
However, one day God says “Moses my servant if dead”, just like that, with the passing of a particular day, he was no more in this world. Such was his life, full of victory, challenges and work. Yet on a particular day, he was no more and could not be used on earth.
We have been blessed with Life, This is a great privileged blessing. There are angels in line who are lining up and who will do anything to have life on earth, to have the opportunity to be used. However, they have not been given this great gift.
Heaven is a place of rest, no activities until eternity, no sin, no choices, just eternal rest. We will be at peace in heaven no doubt, but the message here is that, our life will never be given back to us, ‘Time on earth, is a one time, trickling to an end, gift’. With the passing of a particular day, we will be no more on this earth. After death, even if we cry and beg towards God, no chance will be given to live on earth again.
You and I have this blessing in our hands NOW. We have a free will, a choice to serve others, to serve God, A choice to love one another, a choice to cherish TODAY, a choice to take things positively instead of negatively. A choice to spread the Gospel, a choice to enjoy life, not to live in misery.
“Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.”
II Corinthians 6; 26
Let us not plan for tomorrow, today is the day to start. TODAY is the day to make a difference for yourself and others.
Do not boast about tomorrow; for you do not know what a day may bring forth.
Proverbs 27; 1
A human has 25,550 days in his life on earth, Out of which we have to deduct 20 years, 10 at the start and 10 at the end as limited ability periods.
Hence, we are left with only 18,250 days. You probably already have spent half or more of this 18,250 days depending on your age, so our days our numbered, limited and precious.
Let us make the best of every day, starting today. Not to live in sinful pleasure, but to love one another. To do good to others, to be in good cheer, happy and rejoiceful.
We owe it to the Father, Son and the Holy Ghost, who gave us this great gift of an opportunity and to all the angels who are in line, waiting for this opportunity, but who will never have it. Furthermore, for all the humans who wasted their lives, and are regretting, wishing they could come in spirit now, and talk to you and help you see the value of a day.
“So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.”
Psa 90:12
God Bless you
