The Bible study section reveals some deeper doctrines (mysteries) which is not visible to many.
Eph 3:4 “Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ”
You have to start reading the Bible from Gen 1:1. Verse by verse, word by word. This you HAVE to do!. After reading some chapters you can look up the references from the Bible study sections, which is every 5 chapters. i.e. start reading from Gen chapters 1-5, study the Bible study section for Gen chapters 1-5 and continue to 5-10 and so on.
There are many Bible Version available today, we will give a popular few below ;
NKJV (New King James Version) – 1982
NIV (New International Version) – 1978
Good News Version – 1976
Amplified Bible – 1965
ASV (American Standard Version) – 1901
KJV (King James Version) – 1611
Out of these we would recommend the following in order ;
1) KJV Bible
– Translated in 1611 AD by 47 scholars under the authorization of King James the 1st of England
Rigid English and diff to understand for beginners.
2) NIV
– Translated in 1978 under the sponsorship of The New York International Bible Society by a group of Bible Scholars.
Moderate English and compared to KJV easy to understand.
3) Good news Bible
– Started off with the ‘Today English version’ later by the help of British Bible Society translated to Good news Bible in 1978.
Very easy to understand, However some original meanings are lost in this translation when compared to KJV and NIV
4) Amplified Bible
– Translated in 1965 sponsored by the Lockman foundation (non-profit org) where the original manuscripts were compared again and detailed explanation (in bracketed form) our provided. This is close to KJV but I find that there are a lot of repetitions which make it too elaborate.
You can see a difference in the versions from verses below
1Sa 10:27
KJV – “But the children of Belial said, How shall this man save us? And they despised him, and brought him no presents. But he held his peace.”
(KJV : Gives the authentic meaning, “held his peace”)
NIV – “But some troublemakers said, “How can this fellow save us?” They despised him and brought him no gifts. But Saul kept silent.”
(NIV : Says “kept silent”, this is not as strong as “held his peace”, as the latter is appeasement of the mind and mouth)
GNB – “But some worthless people said, “How can this fellow do us any good?” They despised Saul and did not bring him any gifts.”
(GNB : Skips the section of holding peace, which should be a important attribute in a child of God)
Amp – “But some worthless fellows said, How can this man save us? And they despised him and brought him no gift. But he held his peace and was as if deaf.”
(Amp : added explanations, though correct)
(Word Belial means = As a noun, unprofitableness; wickedness. As an adjective, worthless; wicked. In a collective sense, wicked men.)

Genesis chapter 1
1) Light and Darkness
The First thing God created in ‘Earth’ (note the word “Earth”) was Light. Darkness already existed in the ‘Earth’ (Vs 3-5),
Gen 1:3-5
And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.
Everything in Earth exists through Light and Darkness. We will see these facts when we go on studying the Bible later. It might be a bit difficult to understand but God will give us the grace to understand this.
You are reading this through a computer which generates many things, images, multi media, helps navigate planes and many electronic devices and many Satanic things as well, but did you know that all this works on 0 and 1 which is called binary, just two signals 0 and 1. 0 is nothing which is pre-existent and the the positive electronic signal is 1. Light and Darkness is somewhat similar and covers everything from humans to animals to perceptions to materials to Good and evil etc.
God purposefully increased the knowledge of Humans in accordance to his word in the last days which we are living in.
Dan 12:4
But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.
So all these knowledge (computers, Binary etc) also is increased because God permitted it. If not based on the 7000 years of Bible history how can all the development only take place in the last 30 years. This is clear proof that God is increasing knowledge in the last days which we are living in now.
Some other example are
Anesthetics
Gen 2:21 “And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;”
You go to a modern hospital to look at a operation to remove a bone and this is exactly what they do.
Concept of Atoms (human cells)
Psa 139:15 “My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.”
When we are born we are small probably weighing a pound, then we grow gaining weight or Body mass. How does this happen? Cells are added (atoms) to our body (substance) and from where do these atoms come from the earth.
You take milk, the atoms come from the cow who gets it from the grass who gets it from the earth.
The Psalmist had this knowledge approx 1010 to 970 BC by God’s Spirit. Only recently scientists managed to discover this.
2) God and Man’s resemblance
God made man in his image and likeness, his image we lost with the fall of Adam but his likeness continues.
We know we have his likeness because we see the 5 actions he displays in chapter one which humans also possess.

How do we know we do not posses his image, because we can do all above things but not with the same effect, example he said and Light was created you can say but you cannot create it.
Later we recover this lost image through Christ.
3) Creation of living creatures
God created 3 types of living creatures
1) Cattle (Domestic type for Mans Use, NIV mentions as “live stock”)
2) Creeping things (this did not cover serpent at the time of creation) but we see that these are small creatures not big enough to roam, NIV mentions as “creatures that move along the ground”.
3) Beast of the earth (NIV mentions as Wild animals)
Gen 1:24 “And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so.”
Before creating man, God consults with the Son and Holy Spirit and says we will create man and give him dominion over Fish, Fowls, Cattle and Creeping this, but not mentioned of beasts (Wild Animals).
Gen 1:26 “And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the ea
rth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.”
But after the creation of Man, he is gracious enough to give dominion over every living thing which obviously includes beasts.
Gen 1:28 “And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.”
Although he gave dominion over the 3 categories, God separated Man from Beasts, Man was given the day (greater light) and the beasts the night (lesser light)
Gen 1:16 “And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.”
Psa 104:20-23
Thou makest darkness, and it is night: wherein all the beasts of the forest do creep forth.
The young lions roar after their prey, and seek their meat from God.
The sun ariseth, they gather themselves together, and lay them down in their dens.
Man goeth forth unto his work and to his labour until the evening.
Satan is a form of a beast as we read in revelation and most of the Satan’s evil characters are evident in wild beasts. Fear, Anger, cunning, cannibalism virtually all the animalistic sins of Man.
The lesson here is that God wanted us to be even physically separate from beast and there habits and gave us the greatest Light (Day).
4) Dominion of Earth, Sea and Air
We must remember that Man controls (has dominion) all the animals in the world but God makes it clear that he did not give control of Earth, Sea and Sky (Air) to Man.
Gen 1:28 “And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.”
‘Fish of the Sea’ not ‘Fish and the Sea’, ‘Fowl of the air’ not ‘fowl and the air’ and finally ‘moveth upon the earth’ not ‘moveth upon and the earth’
This is reason why man cannot get a control of earthquakes, volcanoes, tsunamis, Storms etc. He was never given dominion over these 3 things to start with. Although man prefers to think otherwise.
Jesus was given power over all 3 and we can claim that power through Jesus, that is once we are perfected in him. Example of Jesus rebuking the storm, even in the old testament example of Elijah praying to God and ceasing the rain from falling on earth.
Genesis chapter 2
5) Creator and Maker
God plays two roles in the beginning he ‘creates’ and ‘makes’
Gen 2:3 “And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.”
These two roles is reflected in our life through Jesus who is making faith in our faithless void life.
Heb 12:2 “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith;”
These are two distinctly seperate roles. An author creates a story with a pre-planned end out of blank pages. If the pages are written it become copy writing.
But Jesus erases the pages which we have tried to write with our own ambitions and makes the slate clean and then he starts writing a new book.
This is what we call a born again experience where Jesus comes to a contract with us to write the book and erases our pages first. Then is starts working in our life’s through the Word, Holy Spirit and Trials that is the Finisher is writing and perfecting the book
Hence if you have not given complete authorship rights to Jesus, do so today. He will make your life the worlds best seller.
6) Two trees in the Garden of Eden
God we find put two trees in the garden of Eden, However he commanded Adam not to only eat of one tree, that is the Tree of good and Evil.
Gen 2:9
And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
Gen 2:16-17
And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:
But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
He did not command of him not to eat of the tree of life, as this will not take any effect on him. If he eats of the tree of good and evil he was bound to die, then only the second tree’s fruit will come into effect, as man before the fall did not have sin and would not die, so even if he ate from the tree of life or not it would not have mattered.
This very similar to the worlds sin and us, Sin remains in the world, it does not matter to us. Only if we give in, it takes control of our lives.
Example when Bathsebha went for her bath, it did not matter to King David, she was anyway going to have a bath. But the moment he laid his eyes on her, the second condition came into effect, that is lust.. The world and the sins will always be there, lets not be concerned with it. Lets be concerned about the command God gives us for if do not follow it then the things which will not harm us also will take control of our lives.
Also in verse 17 we can see when God gave the command he also gave the reason of what will happen if man disobeys the command. This shows Gods grace and mercy.
7) God’s ‘father like’ love for Adam
When a father brings a gift to his only child, the father will like to see the sons reaction. Example if a father gets the son a puppy the father will see happily how the son likes the puppy and enjoys his time with the animal.
God’s love to Adam was not any different. God brings all the animals to Adam one by one and he watches Adam what he would call them and what so ever Adam called them, God also named the same.
Gen 2:19
And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof.
Marriage
Adam explains the sanctity of marriage here, this was before his fall so his words were from the spirit. God had created a woman for Adam, a wife, a partner and she was created out of Adam’s bone. God created male and female before, In Gen chapter 1 we read this.
Gen 1: 27
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
but here God created a partner for Adam from his Bone.
Gen 2:23-24
And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.
And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.
Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
This statement which Adam makes has a deep meaning, when you are child of God and meant to have a partner, you must know that God had created your partner the day you were born. Selected and separated for you specially. So your spouse was not a arbitrary selection for you. Your spouse is God’s creation for you specifically. You had nothing to do with it. In other words you were sleeping when she was created.
Genesis chapter 3
9) Eye Sight
It is possible that before the fall, Adam was seeing with the spiritual eyes. He used the eye of the Lord to see the world. We see this evident in the following verses. Through physical eyes we can see only one place at one time when we open the eyes, but with super natural spiritual eyes we can see in multiple levels across multiple domains, we will never understand it, until we reach heaven.
i) God Planted the forbidden tree in the middle of the garden so there can be no mistake on the location.
ii) All the animals was brought to Adam for naming.
iii) They were both naked and were not ashamed.
iv) In vs 24 Adam says a man shall “cleave” unto his wife, which depicts physical togetherness
v) vs 3:5 Satan tells Eve that when you eat the fruit “Your eye shall be opened”
vi) vs 3:11 God says to Man “Who ‘told’ thee thou was naked” God never said “when did you ‘see’ that you are naked”.
There can be many theories, but the important thing is we need to be very careful with what we see with our eyes, I believe all sins in one form or another has something to do with the eyes.
If we do not commit in our heart and make a covenant with our eyes like Job, it can lead to our down fall. Some examples are King David, Samson and Lot’s wife.
10) The Fall –
The Serpent was a beast, the third category we studied earlier. The Serpent was used by Satan. You can see below.
Gen 3:1 Now the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
This is a remarkable verse. When you study It again carefully many hidden revelations are revealed of the first sin. We find that the first sin was Gossip!
“Yea hath God said” NIV version “Did God really say”
Eve is one who has started the conversion before Satan. Satan is actually continuing the conversion. This is typical Gossip which is a sin and which leads to many other Sins, Tongue is a weapon which needs to be controlled at all times, which will study later in the Bible studies.
The Gossip even continues when Eve adds flavor to the conversation. This is a typical gossip conversation to be avoided.
Gen 3:3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.
God never said anything about touching the fruit. But you get my meaning, when gossip starts it will end with all sorts of sins, like it ended by the fall of Man.
The Serpent never could have known, that by eating the fruit man will be like Gods and the physical eyes will be opened, as the serpent was just another beast. This proves that this knowledge only came from Satan.
Gen 3:5
For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
The end of verse 5 was the point where the sin began. The woman willed in her heart, Sin had begun…
Gen 3:6
And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.
When sin begun in the mind at the end of vs 5, she saw through the evil eyes of Satan that the tree was good for food. Once it is born in the mind Satan will start feeding food to it by his spirit and it will be a downward trend until we commit the Sin. Committing the actual sin is only a small part but the downward bondage to be driven to commit the sin starts off when we give place to sin to be born in our mind, that is the birth point. Make sure your mind is not fertile for weeds (sin) to grow. It has to be clean and swept daily by God’s word and prayer.
In verse 7 we see that the physical eyes are opened.
Gen 3:7 And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.
And when they heard the voice of the Lord they were afraid, even when we are guilty of Sin and when we hear God voice, through trials and problems we are afraid, that is why the Psalmist says ‘for the Righteous are bold as a Lion’. Dear believer are you the type of Christian who fears when trials and troubles come to you or are you bold as a Lion?.
Gen 3:8 And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden.
Next few verses we see although God knowing man had sinned gives many chances for him to repent, but man and woman both continue to pass the blame and avoid repentance.
However for the Serpent no chance is given for repentance, instead swift sentence is passed, for the man which caused another to sin is in a worse situation than the one who sins. Examine our lives carefully and look at how you effect other people and see whether you are causing them to Sin in anyway, if so, swift sentence will passed. Lets be very careful here. We will later study this in the letters of St Paul the apostle.
11) The implications
Satan was cursed above all animals and he was granted man’s physical body to rule, which is what Satan wanted to start with, this was more of a sentence to Adam.
Gen 3:14
“And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life”:
“Dust thou shalt eat”, who is dust?, mans physical body, we need to go verse 19 where God says to Adam;
Gen 3:19
In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.
“For dust thou art”. Hence we learn Satan was given the physical body of Man to rule. Satan was not let go that easily, God also made sure there will be struggle in which he will claim back man’s body. He did not give the spirit of man to Satan. The spirit belonged to God.
“Eve who was the mother of all living” i.e. that is spirit “living” and Satan who was the ruler of the physical body will be enemies.
Gen 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
Hence Eve (Living or spirit) and Satan (Physical body) our enemies. The seed of the woman refers to Jesus who will release this rulership of the physical body from Satan on the church (you!) by being bruised on the cross.
The enmity between Spirit and Body ensues to anyone born on this earth. St Paul explain this as;
Gal 5:17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
So we need to make sure we feed (follow) the spirit and subdue the body. This is biggest battle which daily takes place in earth as well as the heavely realms, referred to as the ‘battle of the soul’, which side i.e. spirit or body is stronger wins the controls the soul.
Gal 6:8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
So we need to follow and feed the Spirit, eventually when we do this, the body is also completely sanctified and becomes holy. Both Spirit and the body needs to be holy to enter the kingdom of God
Also God curses the ground because of Adam, this we read later in the Noah’s time as well, where God curses the earth because of Man wickedness but later makes a covenant with the earth that he will not curse the earth anymore, as Man is the unrepentant evil one. But on this chapter we see God’s mercy to Man as even though Man sinned the earth is only cursed here..
Gen 3:17 And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake;
in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;
Gen 3:22 And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever:
Gen 3:23 Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken.
God sent man off to protect him by not letting his eat from the tree of life, if not just imagined what would have happened to man kind, he will live for ever in bondage with out hope. But because he had a beautiful plan to redeem man from the bondage from Good and evil, he made sure Adam could not eat from the tree of life with his present state.
We have to die physically in order to be set free from the physical body to earn the original glories Adam lost.
Gen 3:24 So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.
This again has a deep meaning child of God. Flaming sword which turns every way is the word of God at his full power. The book which you hold in your hands has the key for eternal life but the key has been held back to the world and given to only a few who seek it genuinely through Jesus.
This is the confusion of Christianity, so many churches, pastors, doctrines and sermons each with it’s own interpretation “flaming sword which turned every way”.
This is the reason using the word alone we cannot seek freedom and eternal life, there are many things which are needed, of which some are anointing, love, faith among many others.
Jesus can only nurture and cultivate all the characters needed. If the word only can release a person a professor or a doctor can study the book in theory and can set people free, but it is not so as you know. for in such instances it is a flaming sword which cannot be touched by man.
